Ministries
We physically and financially support many faith based and charitable organizations including Westside Urban Ministry, Westland Area Ecumenical Food Pantry in conjunction with the PSV Urban Ministry Center, and provide free meals on the Hilltop at the HOGE Presbyterian Church a few times per year. We have a coat drive that provides gently used or new coats for ages through high school and we take donations of kids hats, mittens, gloves, scarves and socks for the Christmas holiday.
Book Club: Is a group of folks who read a novel and enjoy discussion about the book during a monthly meeting. We have several members and meet the fourth Wednesday of each month. We read books that are recommended by the group with a wide variety of subject matter including fiction, non-fiction, and biographies. Some of the books we have read are: Chocolat, My Story, My Song, Double Cross, Gone Girl, The Girls of Atomic City. All are welcome to join us.
We are rarely in short supply of fellowship ministries where we get together to just have some fun with fellow congregants, family and friends. We have game nights a few times a year, movie nights that usually entail some kind of inspirational message.
